“The Snežnik castle is one of Slovenia's utmost historical monuments, having managed to preserve its authentic interior in its entirety. Throughout modern history the building has served a protocular function as a hunting residence and nowadays has a number of animal trophies on display. In her Inside series of photographs Tina Umer questions the castle’s past and present; a place where stuffed animal trophies remain the only actual permanent residents of the building while people are only guests.”
