Holy Clicking

show together with Eva-Teréz Gölin
Hammarkullen Konsthall, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2022

An exhibition in Gothenburg’s only underground tram stop, where two works, Eva-Teréz Gölin’s Holy Grail (2017) and Tina Umer’s Gone Clicking - Rugs (2021) address the daily commuters on their behaviours of consumption of media and advertisements, and question the appearances of a successful life.

Travelling past us on the escalator are images of people with their to-go cups, captured and blurred by the watchful Google eyes. At the bottom we are approached by the items familiar from online advertisements, ambiguous beauty products, glitchy and woven into rugs, like some sort of relics of a long lost civilisation.
